Christy (née Christina Renée Keenan) is an environmental chemist and is currently an assistant professor in the Environmental Chemistry & Technology Program and the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.  She is interested in addressing the growing need for clean drinking water by studying the fundamental processes that govern the fate of contaminants and pathogens, and using that understanding to develop water purification methods.
